Bible Study: Proverbs Chapter 14 – Wisdom Builds, Folly Tears Down
Last time we were in Proverbs 13 we saw the long-term fruit of listening to correction, guarding our words, and choosing wise companions.
We were reminded that the habits we sow today determine the harvest we reap tomorrow.
Tonight in Proverbs 14, Solomon continues the sharp contrasts, but with a special focus on how wisdom builds up while folly tears down — in our homes, our hearts, our reputations, and our relationships.
This chapter feels especially practical for everyday decisions and family life.
Let me ask you:
If you looked at the “house” you are building with your daily attitudes, words, and choices, would it be a strong, lasting home?
Or one that is slowly crumbling?
Think about that as we go through these verses.
These proverbs are honest and helpful. They show us the difference between a life that stands and one that collapses.
As we have been doing throughout this study, I will highlight some of the verses in each passage and talk about those a little more.
But, if there is another verse you want to dig into, please, by all means, let’s talk about that one too!
This goes for you on-line and email people too, please, let me know your thoughts and questions. All are welcome.
