Bible Study: Proverbs Chapter 7 – The Path That Leads to Destruction
Good evening! We continue our journey through the early chapters of Proverbs.
Last week in chapter 6, we received several very practical warnings. We talked about the danger of making reckless financial promises, the importance of diligence (learning from the ant), the things God hates — especially a lying tongue and sowing discord — and the serious cost of adultery. We even looked at how foolishness often progresses step by step, just like the stages of temptation we saw in chapter 5.
Tonight in Proverbs 7, Solomon takes a different approach. Instead of simply listing warnings, he tells a story — a tragic story about a young man who makes a series of small, seemingly harmless decisions that lead him somewhere he never intended to go.

Good evening to you all. I wasn't able to do this study last Wednesday night because of the kidney stone situation, but, praise the Lord, I am back tonight and here it is. We had a great study on Proverbs 6.
Proverbs 6 The Traps That Quietly Ruin a Life
We’ve been walking through Proverbs, and what we’re seeing is this:
wisdom isn’t just about big, dramatic decisions—it’s about the small, everyday choices that shape the direction of our lives.
In chapter 5, we saw the danger of sexual temptation.
Now in chapter 6, Solomon gets even more practical.
This chapter feels like a father sitting his son down and saying:
“Let me warn you about the things that quietly destroy people.”

Bible Study: Proverbs Chapter 5 – Guarding Against Sexual Temptation and Adultery

Good evening! We continue our journey through the early chapters of Proverbs. Last time in chapter 4 we focused on choosing the right path and guarding our hearts above all else.
Proverbs 5 now gets very practical and very direct. This chapter is a father’s strong, loving warning to his sons about the dangers of sexual temptation and adultery.
I have to warn you: he doesn’t sugarcoat it! He paints both the temporary allure and the devastating long-term consequences.
Before we dive in, it is worth remembering something important about the author of Proverbs.
Much of this wisdom comes from King Solomon. Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived apart from Christ. Yet later in his life, he ignored the very warnings he wrote down.

Bible Study: Proverbs Chapter 4 – Wisdom’s Path and the Choice Before Us

Good evening! We continue our journey through the early chapters of Proverbs. Last time we were in chapter 3 and we saw the incredible benefits of trusting God fully and embracing wisdom with our whole heart.
Proverbs 4 now takes us deeper. This chapter is a loving father’s urgent appeal to his children. He pleads with them to listen, to choose the right path, and to guard their hearts above everything else.
Let me ask you:
Right now, in your daily life, which path are you walking on?
Are you drifting toward the way of the world, or are you intentionally staying on the path of wisdom and righteousness?
It’s a fair question. One we must ask and answer every single day.

Bible Study: Proverbs Chapter 3 – Trusting God and Embracing Wisdom

Tonight we continue our series of the Book of Proverbs—we move from the pursuit of wisdom that we talked about last week in chapter 2 to the practical outworking and incredible benefits of living in wisdom here in chapter 3.
Last week we saw that wisdom must be actively pursued like hidden treasure.
Proverbs 3 builds on that by showing us what a life rooted in wisdom looks like: trusting God fully, honoring Him in all things, accepting His discipline, and treasuring wisdom above everything else.

Bible Study: Proverbs Chapter 2 – The Pursuit and Protection of Wisdom

Introduction
As we continue the series through the rest of the Book of Proverbs, you’ll find that chapters 1–9 form a kind of introduction to the whole book before the short proverbs start in chapter 10.
Hopefully, knowing that will help shape the next few lessons.
Last week we began our study of the
Book of Proverbs by seeing that wisdom is calling out to us.
Proverbs chapter 2 teaches us something equally important:
Wisdom must be pursued.

Series: The Book of Proverbs – Chapter 1

Tonight I’d like to begin a series on the book of Proverbs. Hopefully, we’ll go through every one of these wonderful chapters and verses in the next several weeks.
Let me ask you something. Have you ever made a decision that seemed like a great idea at the time… and later you thought, What was I thinking?
Most of us don’t struggle with intelligence — we struggle with wisdom.
That’s exactly why God gave us the Book of Proverbs.
The book of Proverbs is considered a book of wisdom.
